Cookies & storage
We only store what the site needs to work, plus anonymous counts that tell us how this prototype is being used. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics trackers.

What we store on your device
- Login session — kept by your browser once you sign in, so you stay signed in between visits. Cleared when you sign out.
- Rider preferences — your profile answers, mood choices and saved rides, held in local storage on your device. Never sent anywhere unless you're signed in and choose to log a ride.
- Notice dismissal — a small flag so the storage notice doesn't reappear on every visit.
- Prototype session id — a random number with nothing personal in it, so we can count how many people tried the ride finder while we're testing the idea. It also remembers the referral code in a link you may have followed. No location, no device fingerprinting, no third-party trackers.
Why we don't ask for consent
Storage that's strictly necessary to deliver a service you've asked for doesn't require consent under the PECR rules. Our prototype counts are first-party, anonymous and used only to see which parts of the app riders reach — we don't build profiles or share them with anyone. If we ever add advertising or third-party analytics, we'll ask you first and you'll be able to say no.
Third parties
Ride pages load map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which will see your IP address. Signing in with Google involves Google's own cookies on their domain.
Clearing it
Sign out to clear your session, or clear site data in your browser settings to remove everything held on your device. Data held on our servers is covered by the privacy notice — questions to roads@rosetintedmedia.co.uk.
